  • Cancer does not discriminate:  Men should be diligent about getting appropriate testing, just as women should.

I had a colonoscopy last week.  I had a polyp.  My proctologist removed it during the procedure, and his office called me back to report the polyp was hyperplastic.  This information was great news for me.  Although, I was blessed.  I want to encourage you to PLEASE get tested.  My doctor recommended it last year, and I did not do it, so he recommended it again this year.  In light of all the things going on, I decided to follow through.  Thank God, I did.  I am grateful for my good news, but I am appealing to you to PLEASE DO NOT put this test aside.  Better to have good news than find out you have Cancer, and you could have taken care of it sooner.

Below  are the colors representing the different types of cancer.

As you know, the Houston/Galveston, TX, area was hit pretty hard last year by the infamous Hurricane Ike.  Please continue to keep us in your prayers.  As a courtesy we have included some helpful assistance sites.  Also, let's not forget the many others who were "hit" by Hurricane Gustav and other serious hurricanes.
